AgentToolContext

Struct AgentToolContext

Source
pub struct AgentToolContext { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

One live parent turn’s tool authority. Construct a fresh registry for each context; never reuse equivalent descriptors with another parent’s handlers.

Implementations§

Source§

impl AgentToolContext

Source

pub fn for_turn( caller: &PersistedAgentThread, policy: Arc<ThreadPolicy>, original_artifact: &AgentArtifact, host: Arc<dyn AgentThreadHost>, cancellation: CancellationToken, user_grant: Option<RootDelegationGrant>, ) -> Result<Self, AgentControlError>

Bind controls to a persisted live caller and its original registered artifact. Do not pass the materialized narrowed artifact: an expanded wildcard allow-list is eligibility, not explicit delegation authorization.

§Errors

Rejects identity/policy mismatches and malformed artifact authorization.

Source

pub fn permits(&self, tool: &str) -> bool

Registration and execution both consult this predicate. Authorization does not bypass schema validation, Cedar policy, or root approval.

Source

pub async fn spawn( &self, request: AgentSpawnRequest, ) -> Result<AgentSummary, AgentControlError>

Dispatch a validated spawn intent to the trusted host.

Source

pub async fn send_message( &self, request: SendAgentMessageRequest, ) -> Result<AgentMessageReceipt, AgentControlError>

Send a body-only intent; the host owns sender identity and mailbox order.

Source

pub async fn list_agents(&self) -> Result<Vec<AgentSummary>, AgentControlError>

List only children in the caller’s root tree, without prompt/result bodies.

Source

pub async fn interrupt( &self, thread_id: &str, ) -> Result<(AgentSummary, bool), AgentControlError>

Request descendant cancellation. The acknowledgment does not claim that local or remote execution has already stopped; wait observes that state.

Source

pub async fn wait_agents( &self, request: WaitAgentsRequest, ) -> Result<WaitAgentsResult, AgentControlError>

Observe child completion without spawning polling jobs or cancelling any child on timeout. Waits stop when the caller’s cancellation token fires.
