Struct Checkpoint

pub struct Checkpoint {
    pub id: String,
    pub run_id: String,
    pub thread_id: String,
    pub node_id: String,
    pub iteration: u32,
    pub state: Value,
    pub messages: Vec<Value>,
    pub created_at: String,
    pub protection: Option<CheckpointProtection>,
}
Expand description

A persisted snapshot of graph execution state at a named boundary.

Fields§

§id: String

Unique checkpoint ID (UUID v4).

§run_id: String

The run that produced this checkpoint.

§thread_id: String

The conversation/session thread ID.

§node_id: String

The graph node that recorded this checkpoint.

§iteration: u32

Graph iteration count at the time of the checkpoint.

§state: Value

Serialised GraphState.data bag.

§messages: Vec<Value>

Serialised GraphState.messages at this point in execution.

§created_at: String

ISO 8601 UTC timestamp.

§protection: Option<CheckpointProtection>

Absent on legacy rows, which cannot prove their history was complete.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Checkpoint

Source

pub fn new( run_id: impl Into<String>, thread_id: impl Into<String>, node_id: impl Into<String>, state: &GraphState, authorization_sha256: &str, ) -> Self

Create a new checkpoint from the current graph state.

Source

pub fn validate_integrity(&self) -> Result<&CheckpointProtection>

Prove that a checkpoint is current-format, complete, and byte-identical to the state/history values recorded when it was created.

Source

pub fn restore_protected_values(&mut self) -> Result<()>

Replace database-normalized values with the exact protected JSON values.

SurrealDB can normalize string-like values during a structured-value round trip. The raw envelope is authoritative once its byte digests and host-owned authorization binding have been verified.

Source

pub fn try_restore_state(&self) -> Result<GraphState>

Restore a [GraphState] from this checkpoint, reporting a corrupt state bag rather than silently substituting an empty one.

§Errors

Returns an error when state cannot be deserialized into the graph’s data bag. Resuming with an empty state would look like a successful resume while discarding everything the checkpoint recorded.

Source

pub fn restore_state(&self) -> GraphState

Restore a [GraphState], falling back to an empty data bag.

Prefer Self::try_restore_state; this exists for callers that genuinely tolerate a partial restore.
