Configuration for native (in-process) tool implementations.
Native tools bypass MCP serialization for maximum performance. Each category can be independently enabled/disabled and security-scoped.
Fields§
§file_tools_enabled: boolEnable file_read / file_write / file_patch (default: false — opt-in).
file_allowed_paths: Vec<String>Directory prefix allowlist for file tools. Empty = deny all.
Use ["*"] to allow all paths (not recommended in production).
file_max_size_kb: u64Maximum file size in KB that file_read may return (default: 1024).
file_write_max_kb: u64Maximum file size in KB that file_write may create/overwrite (default: 512).
web_fetch_enabled: boolEnable the web_fetch native tool (default: false).
web_fetch_timeout_secs: u64Request timeout for web_fetch in seconds (default: 30).
web_fetch_max_size_kb: u64Maximum response body size in KB (default: 512).
web_fetch_allowed_domains: Vec<String>Domain allowlist for web_fetch. Empty = allow all domains.
terminal_exec_enabled: boolEnable terminal_exec (default: false; routes through sandbox when enabled).
terminal_shell: StringShell binary for terminal_exec (default: “sh”).
terminal_timeout_secs: u64Per-command timeout in seconds for terminal_exec (default: 30).
terminal_use_sandbox: boolRoute through the configured sandbox runner (default: true).
session_search_enabled: boolEnable session_search (default: true when persistence is configured).
session_search_max_results: usizeMaximum results returned by session_search (default: 10).
